I usually create a 150x150 .jpg file for the section thumbnail of each of my sections. In the last month or so, the color RED looks terrible on the screen. This was not a problem in the past, but now I have no idea what to do to make them look nice. Now they are blotchy and uneven. Looking at older designs, also using the same exact red, the thumbs look really nice.
I am using Photoshop to create the .jpg files from the original .psd file. They are 72 dpi. The red in the .jpg files looks fine. But once uploaded they look awful.
I am assuming from the number of reports that they have made a change. You need to report such problems in a bug report. Part of the decision on ranking which problems need attention is whether people care enough to file a formal report on the issue.
Did you at least get a "we know about the problem and we are working on it" in response to the bug report you filed? I'd say replying to that email response would be the best way to try getting an update. Did you give them screenshot comparisons of what it looks like and what you think it should look like? If not you can reply to your original bug report and let them know you are attaching those screenshots to give them a more clear idea of the problem.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have forwarded this issue to the appropriate department for further investigation. We'll look into this and contact you if further information is needed. Thank you for your patience. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to let us know.
I just tried to upload one of the bad ones again just to see if they have done anything and it looks like it did before.
For anyone that is still having this issue, I brought this up again to CP tech support. Please submit bug reports if you are also having this issue as it only seems to be happening to certain shops. If we can get this narrowed down we might be able to get it resolved.
