It is not the transparent background that is the problem. There are different printing processes for light and dark shirts. If you want to use that design on "light" items, you will have to change the white sections of the design to another color.

Nope. You can't get white on the lighter colors, that's just the way they print. It is much like if you put a piece of yellow, pink etc. paper into your printer at home. Everything will have that color tint to it.
They use a separate printing process on the "dark" shirts than on the other items. It's two steps-- a white layer is printed on first and then the image prints on top of that. (Which has its own limitations and why the dark shirts can only be printed on one side, generally cost more than other colors, etc.) EDIT... or what MP said while I typed too slow |
