I am a newbie. I realize that the max. size of image for a mug is 4.5" wide x 2.9" high. However, at that size my image, which is about 2.2" wide and 2.9" high seems to be off center towards the handle. If I create a max. size graphic, then it seems to move too far around towards the side opposite the handle.
I'm having the same problem. I experimented and tried things and now I'm at the point where I just have to ask.
What's the use of having a mug template if it doesn't work when I put my design on the + marks indicated and it still comes out with the design not positioned right on the mug?
I want to put a graphic on the front of the mug and a different one on the back of the mug. When I use the template, I put graphic 1 on the the + mark #1 and the other graphic on + mark #3. Sounds so simple so why doesn't the grapic show right.
Thanks for any help you can give us on this...before I lose the rest of my hair.
I'm guessing the templates are right and I'm just not understanding them right. All I really need to know is that the + marks on the templates represent. Surely someone in the forum knows the answer. Am I suppose to center my image on the + mark? That's all I'm asking..because when I do, that doesn't work on the mug template.
If anyone has an answer for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
If you put the handle of the cup at 90 degrees to you the + mark will be facing you (and facing away) on the opposite side. I heard a couple years ago that one of the marks was off by a little bit. I've had my own templates for years so I don't know whether it was fixed. Most of us with experience have our own set-ups to work best with our style of working and images.
I can't understand from your description what you are expecting to see and I can't tell what you are seeing. You could just ignore the marks and add your work where if feels right to you.
The mug template is off a hair on the side centering. But at least this new template is the proper size....
I always use the CP template, but print out the design first to check. It's easier to see if there's a problem. If you have a real CP mug to check it on that helps too.
its cute i may have even put them a little closer to the handles...but they look good...the only way to know exactly how well it looks is to buy the product....like someone else mentioned then you can print your images and hold them up to the mug and see if they look right when wrapped around
