Hello Everyone,

I am new and truly impressed with your community, this is awesome. I looked for a similar post before posting.

For instance;
Large poster size 23 x 35 is 4600 x 7000 at 200 DPI

Does the following image ratio work on a large poster size?

Large poster size 23 x 35, 2300 x 3500 at 400 DPI

If possible are images that are 400 DPI allowed to be used?

It's best to focus on the actual number of pixels in your image. Use the DPI (or PPI) only to calculate the minimum # of pixels required.

For example, if CP recommends 200DPI (4600x7000) but says the minimum they will use is 150, then the image needs to be (23x150=3450) x (35x150=5250) in order to be printed full-size. Any smaller # of pixels will be a smaller image in the middle of the product.

It does not matter what DPI setting your software uses- only the actual # of pixels in the image.

Also- if you had a printer that read the 400dpi setting on a file that is 2300x3500 it would print it as 2300/400 or 5.75" by 3500/400 or 8.75". If it was printed at 100ppi it would be 23X35.
