I made some t-shirt designs to start off with.
What size do you recommend for previews here on Cafe Press shops?
I am so lost.
At one point in the tips I read up on.
It says PNG is the best to save in.
But it also says to create in CMYK color mode.
If you create in that color mode, how do you convert to RGB to be able to save as PNG, because in that mode you cannot save as PNG. I know how to convert between color modes, but not sure why you want both.
Is the CMYK for the design itself, and the RGB mode just for previews?
Also, when you upload the design itself, do you merge and which format should it be saved in?
I'm just totally confused.
I'm just lost......LOL
Any help appreciated.
Hugs

Creating in CMYK saves color surprises but it is not required. Uploading in RGB is required. I create in CMYK, save my .psd file, then use "Save for Web" to create my PNG. It will automatically convert to RGB and merge my layers for me. I ignore the warning that the image is too large. It works great. I retain my psd because I want the ability to edit later and to reuse elements of my image.

What sizes do you recommend people use for their previews for their shop?

WOW! Thank you for this tip! Been searching all day to find answers to color shifts on different products... Older products printed fine, this year everything is coming through printed with reddish cast... using same images and new ones.
...maybe this will solve the problem for newer images?
