Hi All, so I'm setting up my shop today, and the main reason I wanted to start with CP is to make/buy a banner to display at my Breast Cancer fundraisers. I simply wanted a HUGE pink ribbon so people/customers would know what the cause the fundraiser was for. And since the PINK RIBBON is such a well-known symbol, I wanted just a simple pink ribbon banner. Well, obviously it's not that easy. I thought I could simply find a large .jpg image through a search and use that. However, none of the images I'm finding are large enough, or of a high enough resolution to be able to resize them to be big enough. I do not have access to Photoshop, and am NOT very image-literate. Any help/advice/suggestions?

Hi Theresa, welcome to Cafepress.

First, probably of greatest importance, is that you find an image that's permissible for commercial use - one you can obtain the rights to use. Finding an image online is a high risk for infringing on the rights of someone else. It's illegal as well as against the terms of service here at CP to use an image you don't have the legal right to use.

I might suggest spending a few dollars at clipart.com or a similar place (check the TOS to make sure the art is licensed for commercial use). Chances are very good you can find a high resolution ribbon that can suit your needs.

Or, you may consider checking our listings of artists-for-hire here:

There are some talented artists who could likely give you a custom graphic at a reasonable cost. This would be, in my mind, an ideal solution as it gives a fellow shopkeeper some work, gets you an original piece of art that is familiar but unique, and you can work an agreement for the commercial-use.

Hi. Since you're not familiar with Photoshop or any image programs, your may want to consider doing a search under breast cancer under the search box and find a pink ribbon banner that you like for purchase. There are gazillions of pink ribbons here and tons of other places especially for breast cancer. Many sellers are willing to do custom work for either a fee or free if you buy the products.

If you're willing to take the time to learn, take a tutorial class on Photoshop and read the learning center image requirements. You can also purchase large images at istock for use on products but the price can pretty high.

Good luck to you.

Brenda
