BUG 1: All of the "Packaging" images look the same (no matter what I select), unless I look at them under "Show larger image, where they show up as the images I selected. This makes previewing/fitting impossible without applying the image first and looking later. WORKAROUND 1: changing the image bleed size restores the image to what you selected, at least on the tray images, but: BUG 2: The tray image height, for full bleed, is said to be Image size with bleed must be 5.25", but I cannot select a size higher than 4.25" so my tray images are centered on white and not at all on the correct place for the edge titles to show up.
I have done this before, back in 2006, and did not have any problems with putting artwork on the CD; there are some problems with it, now.
Just so you're aware, the forum is for peer-to-peer assistance. Cafepress doesn't monitor for bug reports. If you ever need to file a proper one that will get to the right people just click the "HELP" link at the top of this page and it'll take you to a place to report.
Having said that, the CD tray issue has been glitched for an awfully long time with no progress made. CP is aware of it and says they have no idea what's going to come from it. So, my personal suggestion is that if you must have a CD using the tray product packaging you might want to either switch to the sleeve or go to a Plan-B entirely as it's unlikely this will be fixed anytime soon.
I guess I will try out some different DPI and sizes and see what I get for the tray images. I could always order one for myself and see what it looks like...

Don't bother. It's a known bug, as Blipfish mentioned, and the last time I asked I was told there were no plans to fix it. Ever. Apparently, CDs make up a very small percentage of sales at CafePress (gee, I can't imagine why...) and there's simply no incentive to spend any time fixing this issue.
