I have on several occasions clicked on my personal URL http://www.KneeTees.com and have been redirected to the CP homepage instead of my homepage. This would be very confusing for new customers. They may not click again to get to my URL. I'm sure I'm losing sales Has anyone else experienced this?

I wouldn't say that CP is stealing your clicks as the redirect you insert at your register should be the only URL that it would pass to. I just clicked your link and it took me to your storefront. I also have several redirected domains and they go to my storefront and not to the CP Homepage.

I guess it could happen if you have typed the incorrect url either on a links page or in the redirect, but as of right now it all appears to be working fine.

Were you opted in or out of the marketplace when you tested it? I can tell you from experience affiliating other people's designs that even if I put a link directly to their shop, once they've opted out most of those links go to the marketplace instead of their shop.

Good possibility there Kat.

stevenpdk2000 are you redirecting using an affiliate link?

This is something I just started noticing and I have not opted out. This typically happens when I click on an ad I have placed for example on Craigslist or like something new I'm trying like MiseryBoard.com. I sometimes get directed to the CP home page and if I go back and click again I can get to my page. It has happened more than once.

Is there any place where you could provide an example? All the rest of this is pure conjecture on our part and currently an implied deceipt by Cafepress' on your part.

All I'm wondering is if anyone else with a premium shop has noticed that when they click on a redirected link to their site, if they instead get redirected to the CP site. If I'm the only one then I appologize for the implied accusation. But I have not changed anything and this just started happening. It could be a glitch on my side but I don't think so.

I'm opted-out, but as long as I hard-code the url, it goes to my shop, not the MP.

They call us "geeks". They call us "nerds".
We call ourselves "pop culture aficionados!"

I hard code my affiliate links too (not using CPShop or anything like that). I've noticed it's a 50/50 chance once someone has opted out of getting their shop or the marketplace. If I really like the design and I find that the link isn't working, I'll remove the aff link and hard code it to the shop. Otherwise, I usually end up just taking it down and looking for a replacement. Hate doing that but sometimes I just have to. It's sad not knowing from day to day if a shop will be affiliatable or if a design will still even be there. *sigh*

I've seen this a few times tonight while working on a new design for my shop. I even saw it once on a refresh.

I use a redirecting domain name, but I've never had this issue before now.

Since I last posted, the rate of click stealing has seemingly gone up.

Honestly CafePress, I'm getting more than a bit ticked off about this.

Teesed asked earlier in this thread for examples yet nobody has provided anything other than accusations.

I suggest that if you feel there is a problem with the CP website it would be best for you to file a bug form. (link to form in my signature) When you file that form you will be asked a number of questions that will assist the tech team when they review your submitted form.

Example:

SITE ISSUES/BUG REPORTS

If you are encountering a bug or issue that is not allowing the site to work as it should it is imperative that you complete our online bug report/ submission form

When completing a bug report, please be prepared to share the following information:

Short description of issue:

Steps taken for this "bug" to occur:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

What do you expect to happen?
What is happening instead?

Operating System:
Browser:
Shop ID:
