1099 Tax Form: Shopkeeper FAQQ: Who will receive a 1099?
A: Any US shopkeeper that earned $600 or more on a cash basis in 2007 and did not claim to be a corporation. The formula for this amount is as follows:
1099 income = Checks Paid in 2007 minus Checks Voided and not repaid in 2007 plus CafeCash Used in 2007.
Checks voided and not repaid should only be December voids.
Q: Who should NOT receive a 1099?
A: 1) Foreign shopkeepers; 2) shopkeepers that input their tax ID in the Corporation field of their Payee Info; 3) US shopkeepers that do not meet the $600 minimum; 4) Shopkeepers that have received checks but whose tax ID was invalid
Q: I should have received a 1099, but did not.
A: You will want to
Contact Customer Support. Support will then double check to make sure you should have received a 1099. If so, we can email a PDF version to you, after verification of some account information.
Q: There is a discrepancy with the information on my 1099 (amount does not match sales report, wrong name or SSN, etc.)
A: Contact Customer Support who will be able to review the discrepancy, and further assist you.
