As part of Cafepress' Privacy Policy, Cafepress does not share their customers' information with shopkeepers. Since they are they ones maintaining accounts, handling credit card transactions, and all processing, this information is only for their purposes.
For your order reports, shopkeepers are only given a bare minimum of information; however, shopkeepers are NOT to research customers based on this information in order to contact them. This has happened in the past, and Cafepress has dealt with those violating shopkeepers. The information can be helpful in looking for repeat customers and general demographics, and nothing more. The same applies to newsletter subscribers who may not want to be contacted individually. A subscriber could blame Cafepress for violating the policy.
Referrals fall under the Privacy Policy as well. Since finances are involved, Cafepress will only provide the minimum information (the 5% referral bonus) to the referring shopkeeper, and not the actual stores making the sale.
While Cafepress is working out ways for shopkeepers and customers to contact one another through their stores, no time has been given on when that will be released. If you would like to see the emails of your subscribers, you will need to set up a 3rd party tool separate from Cafepress. If you would look to communicate to your customers or receive feedback, please list your contact information within your store, or use a contact form on your own website.
