I have a premium shop (my first one ever) and have been thinking of fine tuning my products by maybe differentiating some of them into different themed shop. I am wondering if people think it's a good idea to have basic shops or stick with premium ones. To date I am not getting loads of traffic and still working on that. Do basic shops get more exposure due to being run via the Cafepress marketplace? or have I misunderstood how that works.
the MP is a big mystery and does not appear to rate basic or premium shops differently...
you can either go with a second premium shop - find a way to mesh the 2 themes - start basic shops - or place the 2nd theme as a hidden section in your premium shop - there are a lot of options to consider
I don't know for sure so this is pure speculation but, having browsed the market place, I think it makes no difference whether your products are in a premium shop or not.
Getting exposure in the marketplace seems to be more about making sure your design tags accurately describe your designs.
I think it makes no difference to cafepress whether a product is in a premium or basic shop when shown in the market place, a sale is a sale.
I've made a few sales from the market place with my premium shop but don't recall ever making any sales from the market place from the ten basic shops I used to run.
