Hmm.. I've used Google images on one or two products, but they were only outlines.. not an actual picture of something so could that still be a problem?

It also sucks that I can't put a track counter since I have a basic shop LOL.. well hopefully my shop will start generating sells sooner or later so I can get money to go from basic to premium! Cool

If a jury decides that you used the creative elements of the image then yes, it could be very expensive. Some "just an outline" is very distinct, and does incorporate the creative elements of the image and sometimes it does not. The sad way to find out is after you get sued. Remember too that just defending yourself is expensive. So even ultimately winning may be a small success. Reduce the risks and take your own pictures, or purchase them from the rights holder, or risk someone lying and try public domain (people often falsely claim public domain).

About number 10. OFFLINE ADVERTISING

You can also make business cards and go to local restraunts and businesses and ask them to let you put them at the register in a place everyone who checks out can see them, you can even tell thenm you will add their business to your local business directory.

Hope this helps some Smiler

Thank you! even though my travel and nature cafepress shop khoncepts2 is making sales, I knew I could do better, after reading your tips, I immediately googled every location I've visited, and every animal I have listed, printed all the info and will now go in and redo every description and finetune the key words. I did it for my Lucerne shop and I immediately had a sale- wow... thanks for sharing.

What a great thread this has been to read...

I am a Welsh Newbie to all of this and so it takes me a long time to get up to speed. Anyway, I have just "loaded" a premium specialist shop with print items for training companies, departments or trainers. I think I have managed to take onboard some of the tips in here but I would appeciate any feedback from the group.

So in 7 days I have created;
www.cafepress.co.uk/workafrolic
www.cafepress.co.uk/greypride
www.cafepress.co.uk/ladygreypride

Just hope I sell something now... my fingers hurt and time is money as they say...
