I beleive this helps create "brand" recognition for both you and your shop, so i say go for it with yours! :-)

Thank you so much for the info, I was thinking using my name would be good thing, but then I started thinking that since I am a female...that may be a bad thing.. So, I'm struggling with using my name or "contact@externalsite.com"! But, YES it is very helpful to get input from others who have been there.

Rachel: I'm not really sure what you are talking about. If you still haven't resolved this question and need help feel free to drop me a line but I don't really understand what it is you are asking in your questions.

I'm referring to when you go to "INSTALL CODE" you go through and choose what type of code configuration you will need, it asks: PLEASE CHOOSE - Use Frames?
"Does your website use frames?"
then in the boxes underneath that, it lists all the different programming ways to get your code generated: (pulled from site)
OPTIONAL - HTML Only Counter
It is not recommended to choose this option as it will not be possible to record the referring link, page title and other information. Only choose this if you web host does not allow you to insert javascript into your webpage. We recommend you move to a web host that will give you proper access to your website.
OPTIONAL - W3C Compliant
Maintaining correct line breaks in your code are crucial if you want to use W3C valid HTML. If you are just worried about your counter working all the time then don't tick this box.

99% of users will not need this option. Unless you are specifically familiar with XHTML code don't tick this option as you may get unintended validation errors.
If you are getting a pop up on your webpage about displaying insecure items with secure items you can use the secure tracking option. But please note this puts an extra strain on our server and if you receive a large number of secure hits we may need to get in contact to charge more.
If you wish you may disable the link back to StatCounter in your code - however we would really appreciate it if you left it in!

No, CP does not use frames, though you can learn more about them here:

With respect to AdWords, what's a good CTR? I'm averaging 0.3% but none of them are converting to sales even though I have very specific keywords and ads.

I'm not sure if I can answer your Q, but we tried adwords last year when we first started, and found that they resulted in few sales for the amount of $ spent on them. There are other CPers who do use them, but we do not anymore. We found that concentrating on building our SEO worked better for us. Make a squidoo lens if you haven't already, it's free! Join a forum or two, make a blog, exchange links with websites that match your theme/designs. You'll find that sales will pick up over time. And if you don't already have a premium shop, try that as well. You'll find increased sales because of it.
Good luck w/ your CP adventures!

I got your site to work, but I'm seeing some photos that look very familiar to me...The "water lily" "Sunset" & "Blue Hills" are in my computers file of "Sample Photos" and are copyrighted automatically the moment the photographer snaps the photo. Most all photographers can spot their own work. Do you just have those up as a test of your site?

Good Luck on Cafe Press!

Immanuel, I am also trying to set up statcounter, and am now looking into their forums.. They have an old and new forum, this is on the old: "The way to see that is in IE click View > Source at the top of the browser window. You will see little code, making reference to frameset if the page is framed."

Here is the link to the forum/question: http://forum.statcounter.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7077

Thanks for posting this information for everyone.

I'm a bestselling author since June 2004 but I used a pen name.

I graduated from Suffield University with Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration. So, that's how I found Cafepress.com.

I encourage everyone to view my website and if you are a college and university student than definitely take my advice.
