What is a link exchange? It's when you put a link to somebody's page on your site, and in exchange they put a link to you on their site.

• Include the name/URL of your shop in your post.
  
• Include any other info you feel is important.
  
• Have a way for people to contact you privately about your post (your email address or ask for a private message, etc.)

• This board is for Cafepress shopkeepers, please don't post completely unrelated link requests, and please don't spam. (As per the forum guidelines, mods may delete or edit inappropriate posts.)
  

A couple helpful hints on premium & basic shops:

If you have a premium shop, you may be wondering how to make a links page. You can do it however you like, but what many people do is they create an empty section in their shop, name it "links", do not put products in it, and use the description area to put the HTML listing the links.

What's the HTML code for a simple text link?

<a href="http://www.cafepress.com/YOURSHOPNAME">Click here to visit YOUR SHOP NAME!</a>

Replace "YOUR SHOP NAME" with your own cafepress ID.

People with basic shops can't use HTML in their store, so you can't really make a links section in the shop. However, if you type out a web address in your store description (including the http:// part) it will convert into a clickable link. Or, you may have your own web site off cafepress related to and connected to your shop. You might offer to put the link there.

Don't want to exchange links, just want to "announce" your shop?

Finally I think I'm ready to draw people into the shop! If anyone has any nature related shops that you'd like to exchange links with me, send me a PM here or email me at my contact link on my shop. The focus of my shop is nature photography with current categories of butterflies, critters, flowers, scenic, and waterfalls. Although most collections are sparse (except for florals), I'm in the process of going through my negative/proof sheet notebooks covering the last five years populating the other collections as I also add new stuff (the butterflies in the butterfly collection were all four new shots taken on this past Friday )..

I have a shop with original designs mostly aimed towards the college aged male and female consumers. I would love to exchange links with ANYONE (any advertising is better than no advertising...I'll wait til I get bigger to be picky about it)...I don't have a premium shop so I would love to put a link to your shop on my personal website, which surprisingly enough has a lot of traffic going through it (who they are I haven't a clue though).
