Hello, I'm new to this forum, and I would like to know if anyone out there could help me resize an image on Paintshop Pro, I would really appreciate it. I don't know the image requirements for a "Custom Oversize Wall Calendar", and even if I did, I wouldn't know the method to resize it. Any answers are appreciated, thanks in advance.
The horizontal oversized wall calendar images should be 17.5 x 11.5 in. (trimmed on calendar to 17 x 11 in.) at 150 dpi or higher.
inches x dpi = image size in pixels
So at 200 dpi, for example, the images should be 3500 x 2300 pixels. The outer half inch will "bleed" off the edge as a safety margin although you can make adjustments with the "select image height" dropdown menu after applying the image to the calendar.
I've never used PSP so I can't tell you how to resize images... but it should be a basic menu option, like image ---> resize.
Of course - I think that maybe one reason that answers were slow is that resizing usually means making it bigger (more pixels) and usually that means poorer quality. Preserving maximum quality while still enlarging takes a fair amount of effort and experience. An individual creating something just for themselves might be OK with less than good quality, but for sale usually the best thing to do is recreate the image to be the right size from the beginning. Often that can't be done and some kind of compromise is required, such as using paint filters to give a different look that masks the enlargement, or creating a montage, or adding a frame.
