Hey, I'm not sure if the problem is something I'm doing, or if it's CP but I'm trying to upload transparent images (I'm using PSP 8 and the recommended image sizes) and they keep uploading into my image basket as blank squares... This has been happening on and off for a while, but it's getting to be more frequent now... I used to be able to take a trans img that didn't upload right, copy and resave as a new image then upload it fine, but even that's not working now. Any help would be appreciated.

A transparent image is supposed to be invisible, right?
When you upload an image that has transparency, the thumbnail in your image basket is displayed with three boxes underneath: black, white, and checkerboard. I think it defaults to black so if your image is mostly dark it may appear as blank. Try viewing it with white and transparent (shown as the checkerboard pattern) backgrounds by clicking the other boxes.
Yeah, I check that every time it happens, the actual design (on a trans background) just disappears somehow, even tho the design is still there when it's sitting in my documents folder or wherever I might have it saved. It hasn't happened for a couple weeks now, but I suspect it will again, it's been an on and off thing since black shirts came out. The designs with transparent backgrounds that upload wrong are always made the same way as all the other ones that upload properly, I can't figure it out, and it's only with transparent background images, not colored ones.
You might just be uploading the background (which is transparent). Make sure that, when you are finished with your design, you go to "layers" and hit "merge visible". Save as png. You should be OK.
Hindsight, I had this exact same problem today. Yesterday, all was well... I uploaded several large transparent PNGs with no problem.
Today, I uploaded an almost identical image, created and saved in the same manner, but the image was not transparent. In fact, the "transparent" background showed as black. I did not get the usual little icons that let you set the background as white/black/transparent.
Has your problem corrected itself? {edited to add...} When I uploaded the same image this afternoon, it worked fine for me.
Thanks, kiwi

Well it happened again yesterday with 1 image (the trans/blk/wht background choice buttons were still there tho although I'm postive there's been times when they weren't there even tho it was a trans background design). I tried to upload that image again today, but it happened again. I don't get what's going on here, this image is exactly the same as another image I uploaded just fine yesterday, only the text is a different color. I know they're exactly the same in every way cause I copied the image that uploaded fine and just changed the color...saved as .png and voila! I end up with some big black squares that took waaayyy too much effort to make.
The first time I uploaded, the parts that should have been tranparent were black (same as your big black square, I'm guessing) and I did not have the buttons to change the background.
I waited ten minutes and uploaded the image again (with no changes) and it worked fine.
Dummy me - I deleted the bad one, so I have no data to submit a bug report. If it happens again, I'll remember to leave it there so CP can see what's going on.
Thanks for posting your experience here - at least I know I'm not the only one!

I think I kinda figured out my problem. It seems as though every time I take an image with a trans background and turn it black and white by using the greyscale option in paintshop it won't upload properly. If I turn it B&W by just dropping the saturation it uploads ok... I have no idea why.
I use psp8 and have been having issues with the transparent areas turning black also. It doesn't happen 100 percent of the time but most lately. I am not sure what (if anything) I do different on the ones that work. The last two designs I uploaded did work though but don't know if it was just a fluke.
I created the design, merged all the layers, then afterwards, I created another layer behind it that was blank. Then used the png optimizer to save it with alpha channel transparency. At least it seems to be working so far.
