I can't figure out how to do this. I know how to put text on a circle, oval, etc., but I'd like to know how to do a freehand, curved text so that it flows across the t-shirt.
If anybody knows how to do this, I sure would appreciate knowing how. John's Secret Identity? You're very good at this stuff. Do you know?
I'm also trying to figure out how to do a text that's curved on the top and straight on the bottom OR curved on the bottom and straight on the top....either one.
I use PSP7. In that, if you create a freehand or bezier curve as a vector you can then create text on it. Pick the text tool and position the mouse on the curve. The cursor will change from a regular "A" to a tilted "A" with a curved line. Click and the text created will curve along the line. You can then hide the line if you wish. You can also alter the curve by editing nodes through its right-click menu or the Object Selector's tool options dialog.
It'll do the same with other vector shapes as well.
In Corel, draw yourself a curved line to use as the baseline for your text. Type your text in somewhere above that, pick your font etc. Then select the text, and holding your shift key select the line. Under your text menu select "fit text to path".
To create text that is arced at the top and flat to the baseline at the bottom use your envelope tool and simply modify the top curvature of the block of text.
