I've been using CP Shop since 2005 to link to stores through mine. My conversion rate for clicks at CJ month in and month out has averaged 9% for more than two years. Suddenly at the end of June my conversion rated crashed to under 1%. My dollars per click have gone from over $40 to under $5. Has anyone else noticed something like this?

Is there any way to find out now what stores your affiliate sales are happening in?

As a matter of fact, the crash in my conversion rate happened right after I upgraded CPShop to the latest version. Marty emailed me and said there was something wrong, but he couldn't figure out what, and is still trying.

As an update on this, in case anyone else was having the same problem.

We had opted our main store out of the Marketplace at the beginning of June. We noticed no problem until the latest CPShop update on the 24th, at which time our CJ commissions crashed.

Our visitors, shop sales and CJ clicks were at their long time averages, it was only CJ sales that suffered. After three weeks of trying various fixes, we opted our store back into the marketplace. Our conversion rate at CJ immediately want back to the average that had been constant for many, many months.

We contacted Marty about what happened. He acknowledged a problem, but said he couldn't figure it out. He also was able to recover our July commissions.

The site and CPShop appear to be working fine now. Our conversion rate is better than ever for CJ clicks (although we do not get reports on 'impressions') Marty says he's working with the CP engineers to straighten the problem out.

My conversions are way down too. Have been for awhile, yet my hits are fine. I also think that my impressions are incorrect at CJ. For 15%, this is beginning to become a waste of time. Especially, since I don't think I am getting full credit for my sales.

We are seeing huge wild swings in cj conversions also. Traffic and cart hits fairly constant but conversions going to zero for days which is normally extremely rare. We load balance our servers so we thought one may have developed a problem but everything checks out so far.

Are you guys using CPShop to drive your CJ affiliate sales? And have you opted your store out of the Marketplace?

I do use cpshop and am still in the marketplace. my affiliate sales have tanked.

Did anyone else get the email from CJ about CP new terms of service. What changes are there? I didn't see anything at all in the affiliate forums for cp.

We have our own shop code and we're opt'd in.

I wish I had more to offer you. We had a long track record of consistent conversion rates to work with. We only started having problems after we updated to the latest CPShop version. That day our commissions disappeared, and didn't come back till we were back in the marketplace.

When we opted our shop back into the marketplace, the change was like night and day. We immediately went back to the conversion rates we had seen before. Our rates have remained steady, and even improved some lately. We are still not getting impressions data, however. Our reports show no impressions, just clicks. We are converting clicks to sales at the same or better rates we had before our 3 week opt out of the Marketplace.

If you don't have a long and consistent statistical history to work with, you are going to have trouble convincing Marty or CP that things are not working properly. You might just not be getting any affiliate sales.

As it was, Marty did try to help us. He even tracked down the missing commissions to the penny. He promised we would receive a credit, but that was a couple weeks ago and still hasn't happened.

If you are in the Marketplace, using CPShop and still not converting affiliate sales properly, I don't really have anything to offer. Marty is the guy to talk to about it.
