I've been recommending wufoo to many people since I read about it in a Net magazine this month. It is simply fantastic for CafePress storeowners.

It allows you to create sexy forms like contact forms, polls etc. It's all hosted by them. They provide you with iframe code to insert into your webpage.

I've setup a contact form that I've installed into my premium shops. You can create reports, have the entries emailed to you and subscribe to an rss feed as well.

one question: Does the free version have ads? (aside from wufoo branding mentioned briefly on one of the forums)

I installed their e-mail form, a very nice form; it is working well for me.
Only After - someone clicks to enter their address - there is a small blurb for Wuoof. It doesn’t show up if no one uses it. I don't think most people would think twice about it unless they were actually looking for form codes...
I like maintaining my own client list...
And I’m so slow on computer stuff that I loved their system. The small blurb is worth it to me.

Thanks!

@savanna: Your designs are beautiful btw, although I couldn't find the form you mentioned on either of your sites.

Sorry VeggieT - I lost track of this thread. Thank you for the nice complements.
my news letter box has been changed (I'm now using a link from my Mosaic Globe Website www.savanna-art.com )and I created a link back e-mail page (for when a client checks-out from my Cafepress shopping cart) http://savanna.mosaicglobe.com/contact/404 this is a hidden page/form, also with Mosaic Globe (their basic site is free and geared to artist and photographers). You can set up a contact page like this one and link it back to your cafepress site.
I still like Wuoof, but I can use links from my gallery site now and have more control.
Cheers, and have a wonderful new year!
Savanna

Hi Adam! I've been trying and trying to get some forms up in my shops, and after lots of work all I can say is, don't--under any circumstances--use MyContactForm. Yipes, circular error messages and a support staff that answer in computer jargon only. It is easy to use though, which brings me to Wufoo. I love the look of it and the friendly interface, but I find it difficult to figure out. (I haven't really tried to read the documentation yet...) Is there a secret? Is there another free service that's simpler?

Smiler

What are you finding difficult? Is it installing the code? Choose the "embed code" option and just copy and paste in the section description on your section and it will appear.

You can choose to have the replies emailed to an email address rather than use Wufoo to see form replies. I do that and it's very simple.

This is the stuff I did understand. Smiler For some reason, I just don't find the actual form setup very clear. I could figure it out I think, but I'm impatient. I'm sorry I can't be more specific!

NeneTech recently comes up a new product, Nenest (http://www.nenest.com) which is much powerful than Wufoo. Nenest provides many unique features:

* many pre-programmed controls for input fields like email, phone number, address, picture, rich text editor etc.
* nenest rich text editor allows visitors to create complex documents with pictures, tables, colors etc.
* client data validation
* file attachments
* email notification

Both of these websites seem quite interesting...I don't like the current CP newsletter set-up and would like to create my own using one of these sites. just a few questions though.

1. can you use these on the CP premium shops or do you need a stand alone website?

2. if i wanted to make a "thank you for shopping" page such as savanna's how do i link that to my shopping cart?

3. Can either of these sites allow you to create your own newsletter to send?

Answers from http://www.nenest.com Nenest:

1. can you use these on the CP premium shops or do you need a stand alone website?

A: You can have your own domain, or integrate it with your existing website.

2. if i wanted to make a "thank you for shopping" page such as savanna's how do i link that to my shopping cart?

A: That's a useful but easy-to-implement feature. We will consider this.

3. Can either of these sites allow you to create your own newsletter to send?

A: Email newsletter is a very handy feature on Nenest. Nenest allows clients build their own community, that is, your customers can register on your Nenest website. Wufoo cannot do this, as I know.

Wufoo does provide a nicer looking at this moment, but its features is so limited - it's just about online form.

Nenest is much bigger and full of features - Nenest is a form-based web application framework. So with Nenest you can do much much more.

i appreciate nenest's reply...i am curious though and would like some feedback on the quesiotns i had asked from a wufoo user as well. No offense and i am looking into nenest and it's features but i was also hoping to get some opinions on wufoo for my questions.

Any takers?

I love Wufoo.

1. can you use these on the CP premium shops or do you need a stand alone website?

** Yeah - they work in premium shops. You can create a section and use the section description to enter the embed code. You don't need any products in the section. I think Hectic's tutorial explains the process well. It's very easy once you understand the process.

2. if i wanted to make a "thank you for shopping" page such as savanna's how do i link that to my shopping cart?

**That's more of a CP thing than a form thing. You do have the option of putting in a "return after shopping link", but it's not a redirect, simply a link at the end of the check out process. It's not known where a shopper goes if they purchase from multiple shops.

3. Can either of these sites allow you to create your own newsletter to send?

**You would probably need to use the info gathered from wufoo to import into a newsletter service. Premium accounts have the ability to have an email reply sent automatically once a form is filled out, along with numerous other features. I don't have enough experience with wufoo and newsletters to accurately answer, but I am sure it would be possible.

I have not tried the other service mentioned in this thread, simply because I am really happy with wufoo's possibilities. I have used it to create contact forms, as well as a submission form for affiliates. They will also play a major role in a few new shops we are opening this season.
