If we use our own IMVU characters (as in our actual avatars) is that considered plagiary here? It seems that IMVU has it's own t-shirts when I search for them, but there is no IMVU topic or anything of that nature in the navigation list. Just wondering.

You mean here on the forums, or reproducing them on shirts for sale? Here on the forum I wouldn't think would be a problem, but if you take an image they created and put it on apparel for sale, you're over the copyright line.

I meant a shirt to sell to myself and my husband. We both have IMVU avatars and wanted them on a shirt for each of us, but we would be the only ones buying them. I wouldn't let others buy it because it's "my" avatar and "his" avatar. We bought our avatar names... but I don't suppose that would make a difference.

Even if you don't plan on selling them, CafePress would make money in selling them to you.

True. But after further research, it seems that other t-shirt companies similar to Cafepress are allowing their content creators to sell them... I wonder if it has something to do with what IMVU allows??

It is possible.. but equally (if not more) likely that no one's been caught.

I don't know of any pod-site that reviews artwork before it's displayed- so something being visible does not mean approved.

You can always contact IMVU and ask them. Smiler Be sure to get any confirmation in writing.
