I read the image guidelines which state," NO NAMES/LOGOS OF COMPANIES OR ORGANIZATIONS E.g., NeoPets, Lakers, Dr. Pepper, Tommy Hilfiger etc. (Learn more)" I clicked on the "learn more" link, read all of it, and am still a little confused.

I'm setting up a shop for my son so that he can sell T-shirts, mugs, etc. with profits going to support a non-profit organization. He hopes to raise enough money to support a research study into his little known medical condition.

I have written permission from the Founder as well as the Executive Director of this organization to use their org's name and logo on the back of the T-shirts. It was the latter who sent me their logo file. Both are thrilled with my son's designs and initiative and will be listing his/our shop on their org's website.

So it is still illegal for me to have the non-profit's organization's name and logo on the back of the shirts? They, at least the name and website of the org., are important to spreading the word about this medical condition and letting others with it find the help they need.

Thanks muchly. Smiler I'm trying to get this done tonight before the rush of schooling (at home) and specialist visits this week.

It is not a problem to use a logo if you have the proper permission. I can't tell you whether you legally have the permission of the right person but as long as you keep that written permission available if questioned you should be fine.

I don't know whether anything here applies or is useful to you but perhaps it is

Thanks so much for your reply and the link. They were very useful. Cool

I'm going to take out the wording in the store description that states that a certain percentage of any profit would go to the org. We'll just donate it privately and avoid any potential legal problems. It was too wordy anyway.

Thanks again. Smiler
