Use the text tool and ascii code.

Click on the text tool, click on the picture where you want to type it.

Then hold down the alt key, then on the number pad, hit 0 1 6 9 and release the alt key. (MUST be the number pad. Won't work with the qwerty keys)

Now you know the reason for a number pad! Smiler But seriously, that's the only thing I use it for. Not having one is odd unless it's a laptop. It's even unusual on a laptop but I digress.

Anyway, there is a way to convert the qwerty keys to work on most laptops.

You may have to read the instructions but "generally" using the num lock key will convert the qwerty keys to work as the number pad will.

Outside of that, you'll have to use the "special characters". Which is generally like jumping thru hoops. There is an ascii code for every "special" character so the number pad is the quickest and easiest way.

Or if all else fails find a graphic of it on line somewhere and use that. But a graphic is really kind of clunky to use.

The "number pad" is the number keys to the right of the letter keys on your keyboard. On a laptop you will usually find them integrated into the letters - for example on mine the "number pad" is M, JKL, IOP,789 - and the Fn key is like a shift to use them.

Character Map is found under Accessories, System Tools in Windows. It has the copyright symbol and all the other common ones.

You can also go to any site that uses the symbol, copy it, and paste it into your text box.

I rarely have to think about it because I have a little file called "signature" that is just that. I can just open it and copy it to my newest image.

I found this site recently.
CopyPasteCharacter.com

Just click on the character you need and it is copied into the clipboard, then you can paste it into your document. No need for an extended keyboard.
