Is there any way to convert a .wmf file for use in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 while still maintaining the smooth edges? The image is perfectly smooth when displayed in Windows Picture Viewer, but the only way I've found to pull it into the Elements editor is to copy and paste it into a Word document and then copy that image into the editor. Even though the edges are still smooth in the Word document, for some reason they become jagged when pasting it into the editor.

I would be most grateful for any suggestions that might be offered!

wmf files are usually pretty rough to begin with but word is tough to get them exactly right. Try opening them with windows paint and saving them as something elements can handle.

Thanks, Gary; I tried opening a wmf file with Windows Paint and the image became extremely jagged. This is so frustrating; when I open it in a Word document the edges are perfectly smooth, but as soon as I copy and paste that image into a Photoshop Elements document, the edges became jagged.

Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
