As far as logos go, I use Illustrator CS3. I have also used CS4 at work. We haven't had any problems with CS4, but for now I personally don't have a reason to upgrade. After I design a logo I just drag it into my Photoshop CS3 to save as a .PNG for CP.

For those that commented on the learning curve for Adobe Products, I suggest the Help Menu. I've pretty much taught myself from the help menu and tutorials from the web.

I use psdtuts.com for PS and they have a link for vectorTUTS on the site. Some are even desktop captured video tutorials. That site taught me a lot about these programs. They also have some of the best freebie vectors, brushes, etc. to download.

I also just ran across a link the other day that teaches you Illustrator in 30 days. It was free. http://www.vectordiary.com/ill...ator-cs3-in-30-days/

I hope these might help some of ya that are scared of Illustrator, cuz I know I sure was. Being in the sign business though, everything we do is vector based due to the large sizes we have to print. And now I rarely use Photoshop to design logos anymore.
