You don't have to sign up with CJ to be affiliate-ready.. You only need to sign up with them to be an affiliate. By default, all shops are available to affiliates unless you go in and take your shop out of the marketplace. So if you are in the marketplace, you are already available for affiliates to help you market..

To help make affiliates aware of your shop, you may post a thread announcing your shop in the Announce & share affiliate-ready shops forum. Once you have that thread, you can then later reply to it with updates to help keep affiliates up-to-date on the changes in your shop. Read the sticky thread at the top of that forum to get an idea of how things work there..

Also, keep an eye on the Affiliates looking for shops forum. If an affiliate posts asking for designs that fit with what are in your shop, reply to that thread with links to the designs/sections that fit what the affiliate is asking for..

Hope that helps! Smiler

Well.... that's a large question.

Have you applied to the CP program on CJ as well as just applying to Commission Junction?

If so, looks like you're ready to start affiliating. HOW you do that can go all over the place. Have you read the tutorials and resources stickied in these forums?

Thanks a bunch for that information. I will be looking into that forum later on today. I thought that maybe CJ will help me drive more traffic to my website but it looks like that is not the case... should I call CJ to rescind my registration???

I believe I did the CJ registration but not the CP. I wouldn't know the difference. I haven't read the stickies or tutorials but I definitely will. All in all, I just want my designs to be displayed and marketed on other people's shops so I can drive traffic to my site.

Forgive me, I've been here for about 4 months or so, and only made one sale... Haven't panicked yet so I guess I'm off to an okay start... just wondering what I can do to make things better... for one thing, I have lots of images in my image basket.. haven't posted them on any products just yet... maybe I'll do just that and then do what pristinephoto suggested...

Thanks very much for the answer... I really appreciate it.

You don't really need to do anything.. If you don't make any affiliate sales (driving sales to other people's designs), CJ will automatically drop your account. You are welcome to try contacting them and just having them remove it though if you want.

Kinda scared that I gave them tax information... but if I don't make nothing, I shouldn't get taxed... thanks for the info Shawn.
