I got a few affiliate sales this week. It was news to me. I did nothing to bring this about. It just happened. Can people affiliate my shop without me even knowing? I thought I had to go the cj site and sign up for it.
I've been meaning to figure out this whole affiliate thing out and create a nice little page with banners to my site, ect. I just haven't taken the time to do that. I should now though because I'm getting sales from it without even trying.

I think we may need to sticky this topic or put it in an FAQ...

If you are in the marketplace, any affiliate can sell your stuff.

They don't have to inform you, you don't have to woo them. Both of those things happen sometimes, but they don't have to.

If your shop is in the marketplace, it is available to affiliates to help sell your stuff. You only need to go to CJ and sign up if you have a website where you want to try to sell stuff for other shopkeepers.

Affiliates are simply another marketing channel for your shop.

Hehe! I think so. A seperate sticky that says "I made an affiliate sale but I'm not signed up at CJ".

Congrats on getting the attention of an affiliate OP!
