I have another question - I have an affilate site with a photo gift company that I need to shut down - the business was sold to someone in Canada and shipping is expensive and takes too long for my customers. I want to use cafepress - this is why I wanted to link to the create and buy. Is there any way to refer people to create and buy and get a commission? I am planning to redirect the domain to my cafepress store so I need to figure it out soon. I know I have seen people advertise Create Your Own Products in their cafepress stores.

Actually you can affiliate link to Create and buy, you just can't link to products created through Create and buy. But if you want your shopper to be able to go to create and buy and create their own product, that should work.
The reason your link isn't working is because from the looks of it, you have replaced the CafePress AID with your affiliate PID. Your PID goes where the letters PID are in your link. The click portion should be click-YourPIDGoesHere-CafePressAID. Simply go back to the original link you started working with and put your PID in the correct spot and your link should work.
