this is such an amazing tool. thank you SO much.

Do you think you could check out my page and make sure it looks ok?

I have 2 questions...first, in the banner code, after the xxxxx , what is the -10463747?URL=http://www.cafepress.com/BurnTees part of the code?

Other question, up top, what is Angel Cove?

Thanks again for this, it was so easy to use and my affiliate page looks great!

Shannon, just want to say your "signup guide" pdf just saved ME! i had just re-done an entire site using my cj account # instead of my PID #. Now i have to do the whole thing over, but If I hadnt read this I'd be on to my next site in error as well.

I'd definitely use a screen shot instructional on my recruiting pages too, btw!

Smiler

ldcreative - you are most welcome. Smiler

BurnTees - sorry I missed your questions but I have been swamped lately and haven't been reading all the threads...

1) Angel Cove is my store so you will want to remove anywhere it says "Angel Cove" and replace it with your store name. Must have been something I missed.

2) You need to replace the "BANNER URL" in your code with the URL of where your banner is for that specific box. For instance, the first "BANNER URL" will be replaced with http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a63/burntees/Ad_banner3.jpg

Let me know if you have any other questions. Smiler

Thanks Shannon - I wish CJ's own site was as clear! They seem to like their marketing-waffle.

I have a question - in

https://signup.cj.com/member/brandedPublisherSignUp.do?...efmerchantid=1956334

Is 1956334 your own CJ PID, or a generic CP/CJ thing that we all need to use?

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris, I'm not Shannon but I know the answer to your question... Smiler

The number you are asking about is CafePress' CJ merchant number. It is used there in order to bring up the CafePress.com branded CJ signup. The branded signup allows CafePress to use a custom header image and provide the publisher(affiliate) with specific instructions on what to do after the signup process as well as directs them to the page where the publisher(affiliate) can join the CafePress.com program at CJ.

Hope that helps Smiler

Thanks Shawn, it does help, I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to put my own PID in there instead, and somehow gain from other people joining CJ.

CJ's site should win some sort of award for saying eight words where one would suffice. It's just not easy to read, and I've been reading since, like, I was a kid.

Shawn is right - he is not me. LOL Razzer

And he is also right on his answer. That link supplies the easiest way for people to sign up to the CJ program for Cafepress. It is a pain to have to sign up through the CJ website and go through the hoops.

(Thanks, Shawn!) Smiler

Thank you so much Hazeleyes for posting this thread, it has been a huge help. When the affiliate program changed I just cut all the links to my affiliate page because I didn't know what to do with the banners to offer them to cj folk.

I'm concentrating on my artwork and photography for my shop and I didn't want to take on being an affiliate myself but I'm quite happy to offer links and banners to folk that are prepared to put in the salesmanship.

You've made it very easy for me to restore my affiliate recruiting page http://www.cafepress.com/valdary/1696396

I would be grateful if anyone pointed out any glaring errors.

Thankyou so much!

Shannon...bless you. I didn't even know where to begin until I stumbled upon your entry.

I have a url but don't even begin to know how to post your pdf to my server so I hope in return I have made sure to link to your site in the affiliate page (along with Teesed who always is on the spot answering my questions). Hope that is Ok. If not someone needs to help me figure it out..lol

Anyone please look at my Affiliate page and let me know if anything looks weird.

Thanks again.
