Hi guys,

I just made 2 sales and both shows the word Affiliate on the Source column. It usually shows Marketplace. I know it used to be a problem with this Source column.

I'm wondering how come I made an Affiliate sale if I'm not saling nobody's products and I haven't sign up anything for someone sale mines?

I'm confused. Is it another mistake of a bug or something? if is not could someone help me to understand it.

Thank you very much.

It's your product that has been sold, right?

Your shop is in the marketplace. It is therefore in the affiliate program.

The "affiliate" sale in your report is an affiliate selling one of your items.

Oh! Really? Do that mean from my price marked up something goes to the affiliate or what ever I marked the product is just mine?

Thank you again.

Yeah, really. An affiliate just made you a sale - 20% is taken from your markup and awarded to the affiliate.

Well, I took a look to the affiliated FAQ and with your help I think I'm clear now.

My products are automaticly available for affiliate program as long they show up in the marketplaced. Right?

This took me for surprise I though you had to sign up for the affiliate program in order for this to happen, but I guess is a good thing, after all is a sale. Big Grin

I guess you can learn something every day.

Thank you very much guys.

And just to clarify, the only time you have to "sign up" for anything regarding the affiliate program is if you want to use a non-cp domain site or blog to sell OTHER people's stuff.

Teesed you have gave me and idea. Maybe other Sk are doing it already. I don't like to have other people work on my website because I like to show off what I have done, but I could have another website with all affiliate products only.

I won't be breaking any rules with this right? Where can I read more of how to do this?
Is it the sing up with cafepress or with CJ?

You got me excited with this idea.

Thank you again.

You just described several people that do the same thing, including me. You can see in my signature, we have several CafePress shops as well as affiliate sites that are off-cp.

Nothing wrong with it at all. You can even highlight your own stuff on your non-cp site along with the affiliate stuff. You'll just need to pass your CP account info with the affiliate link so you don't get credit for your own stuff as an affiliate.

Am I blind or what? You even have the font in red and I didn't noticed it.

Great shops Teesed. I'm sure you know that already but I have to say they look great.

I gonna read all I find to educate my self in the matter because I have some questions like one of them is, Do I have to open a new Cafepress Shop and then do the pulling product thing with the CPshop or CJ do that already?

Can I just use one of my blogs and pull the items with CPShop?

I wonder how much time you spend in your shops. Looks to me you have a shopping mall in your hands. Big Grin

Thank you again Teesed.
