A customer requested a customized version of an existing product . I did new version of the product which had a new code number. I emailed the new link directly to the customer. Customer ordered the product within a half hour of my e-mail. When I received my donot email, it listed the NEW product (for which I had directly emailed the link) as an "Affilate" sale. How could an affiliate have linked to the product?
the affiliate cookie is valid for 30 days. so if your customer has an affiliate cookie at the time of purchase, the affiliate gets credit.. regardless of the age of the design.
